Excellent for the price!
I got this for my granddaughter for her birthday. She was very excited and found coins I had buried in the yard for her to try it out. It isn't a White's or Tesoro, but it is as good as SOME of the Garretts, Fishers, and Bounty Hunter's out there: which, by the way, are all made by the same company. For the beginner, it is a great way to enter the hobby without a huge investment. It discriminates pretty well, and was always right when the coin was dug up. Of course, pull tabs, buried aluminum cans, and rusty metal gave false signals, as will happen even on the most expensive units. lcd big display metal detector
I was amazed at how well this little metal detector worked. when it shows a quarter its a quarter a dime its a dime its no depth demon but for 50 dollars who cares as a beginners unit for kids or a backup it cant be beat it read a quarter 6 inchs down now that does not seem like much but I live in the gold country high mineral soil tons of iron so I have to turn down sensitivity and it still works well!I was amazed at how well this little metal detector worked. when it shows a quarter its a quarter a dime its a dime its no depth demon but for 50 dollars who cares as a beginners unit for kids or a backup it cant be beat it read a quarter 6 inchs down now that does not seem like much but I live in the gold country high mineral soil tons of iron so I have to turn down sensitivity and it still works well!
