This metal detector was very easy to assemble, the large easy-to-read screen is very helpful and the overall design is comfortable to use. The pinpoint feature is great to acquire a precision location once you get a signal. I’ve used other brands in similar price range and highly recommend you consider this model if you interested in getting started with metal detecting.

The technical support in contacting OMMO was top-rated. I had a prompt response from my email inquiry and my issue was resolved very quickly.

For the price it is sturdy enough for normal use. Screen is not easy to see but I just listen to tones it puts off when it passes over metal and pin point feature makes it easy to locate items.

Unit arrived and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. Yes it’s low cost however, better than others I have looked at for more money. Use it for the first time yesterday as I wanted to locate an underground cable that is faulty. The down side. It could not seem to detect the copper cable at all. It did however find me lots of other metallic object in and around the area I was searching. If you want the unit for coins and alike then go for it. Cable and pipe searching, may not be for you.

Zum Test habe ich einen 10/11er Schraubenschlüssel auf Betonplatten aufgelegt und mit dem Gerät sich genähert. Wenn man von sich oben nähert, dann erkennt er das gesuchte Objekt bei ca.15 cm Höhe über den Schlüssel. Wenn man sich von der Seite nähert, ist es mit 30cm etwas besser. Durch eine Erkrankung, konnte ich nicht fristgerecht das Produkt zurücksenden. Aber durch direkten Kontakt mit der Firma wird mir der volle Betrag zurückerstattet. Wirklich entgegenkommend und netter Support.

This is a relatively basic metal detector that's very easy to set up and use.

It is able to discriminate different types of metals and can detect my light gold ring at 10-15cm.

ℹ️ Like many things nowadays, it comes as a collection of parts that need assembling. Some of the parts aren't well finished, but do slot together well. There are various quick release clips that aid adjustment to the best height as needed.

ℹ️ The arm-rest part can be used for either hand, which is good, considering that I'm left-handed. It reduces strain if you are using this for a long time.

It takes PP3 batteries (supplied), so if you are considering using this seriously, it would be more economic to replace them with rechargeable PP3 batteries, which will be cheaper and more environmental in the long term.

A metal detector is a new item for me, but this was simple to put together and operate. It’s supplied in a surprisingly small box, but is easy to put together by simple connecting the tubular frame, adding on the two ends and the handle. It requires 2no. 9 volt batteries to run, which are both supplied which is good as these themselves are a bit pricey. It’s a shame it’s not rechargeable.

One of the clamps on the frame was a bit dodgy for me and needed some jiggling to get right but once done was nice and firm. So once put together it was time to try it out.

I haven’t found any treasure yet, but it has found lots of underground metal. It’s accurately got the line of the water pipe and mains power cable coming into the house so seems accurate. You can adjust the volume and the sensitivity, and it’s also supplied with a headset so nobody else car hear the squawks. I even walked around the house with it and was surprised how much metal seems to be under my living room floor.

This is isn’t a high-end device but seems to work and is lots of fun to try out. The adjustable length means it can be used by all including children.

This metal detector is well made (you have a bit of assembly to do when it comes out of the box, but it was pretty easy) and seems pretty robust.

It is easy enough to use, seems quite responsive (just on objects indoors) and is nice and lightweight. I am looking forward to taking it out in the better weather to see what I can find!

Great for a beginner, and good value too.
